Escorted Journey: Travel Permissions To and From the Centre

I give permission for my child/ren to travel either by walking (Centre to Highland Reserve State School, 570 Reserve Road, Upper Coomera 4209) or by bus, on the Young Discoverers Kindy Bus (Centre to Upper Coomera State College,137 Reserve Rd, Upper Coomera Qld 4209) for Before and After School Care as my booking specifies.

If travelling on the Kindy bus, there will be up to 10 children in the bus accompanied by two responsible adults, (comprising at least two educators, or one educator and one responsible adult). The anticipated ratio of child: adult will be 5:1.

The Centre bus has restraints for all seats, and booster seats as required, for those children needing to be transported by bus. All children under 7 years of age require a Booster Seat.

For HRSS Bookings:

Before School Care will depart from the centre between 8.40am – 8.50am each day, depending on which class they are in
After School Care will depart HRSS from 3.00pm each day
A penalty of $10 per child will be charged if your child has a booking and you do not inform us that he/she does not need to be picked up from school.

For UCSC Bookings:

Before School Care will depart from the centre at 8:10am each day arriving at Upper Coomera State College by 8:30am.
After School Care will depart Upper Coomera State College at approx 2:40pm and will arrive back to HRSS at approx. 3.00pm each day. Children will then combine with the HRSS children to walk back to the Centre.
A penalty of $10 per child will be charged if your child has a booking and you do not inform us that he/she does not need to be picked up from school.

NB: In the event of unforeseen circumstances in which we are unable to use the bus, we would seek to use alternative transport which could include the use of a taxi, hire, private vehicle or walking
